RESIT - How to use audition?

This is a screenshot of me editing our jingle, I used many different new tools in adobe audition for example adding a fade in and fade out effect on our clips to show that a new clip is starting or ending as shown in the picture.

Also also learn't how to combine two or more clips together so they overlap one another presented below. I also learn't how to trim clips down so we could remove all the unessential bits. I also learn't how to import multiple clips from my documents. Importing the clips is easy to do because all you have to do is go to "file" located at the tab section (top right) then click "import media" and find your files. Exporting media is a bit more difficult than importing because you have to export the file and you have many file types to choose from. The most common audio file type is .mp3 and the most common video file is .avi and .mp4.

It is beneficial for me as I did not know some of the tools talked about, I can now use them as I know the name so if i encounter a problem I can look the name of the tool up online and watch a tutorial on how to use it professionally making my podcast seem as authentic and realistic as possible,

Basic Interview Techniques

There are many tips for radio interviews, the main point is to make sure you don’t rush the interview even if you only have a limited amount of time. Rushing the interview will cause you to ramble on, start to stutter using fillers like um and err.
Another technique is to make sure you sound clear so you need to make sure you emphasize words so everyone can understand you. Make sure to speak in short sentences and don’t rush any syllables to make sure each syllable in a word is correctly spoken.
You must make sure to listen to the interviewer because they will assist you on what you have to say, you need to answer their questions effectively by controlling your nerves and by taking your time thinking about how to answer the question.


More advanced techniques 


Controlling your nerves can be the most difficult task to overcome, to control them you need to put yourself in uncomfortable situations which will then seem like its normal. You must make sure you don’t butt in to the questions asked because it is seen as rude and unprofessional.
To keep everyone interested and to make sure self-stand out from others you can tell anecdotes relating to the topic and also by using humour to keep them interacted. Also you need to make sure you practice before hand by asking a friend or a family member to ask you questions putting you on the spot. This will then prepare you for all possible questions asked so you will eventually know how to answer them all.
Finally the most important skills you need to remember when in the interview is to avoid rushing, listen carefully, be clear and maintain a positive energy.

Below is a short video that explains the do's and don'ts when in an interview. It is useful research gathered as we can apply it to our work when asking the public or specialists questions so they don't feel uncomfortable, however it is more important to make the interview sound interesting and beneficial to the listeners ears as its their opinion that counts. If they don't like it then they will change radio podcast resulting in us losing listeners.

Archive clip inspiration – We got our inspiration from BBC news covering the Ebola crisis. So we used this story and used similar information for example like how the disease is so dangerous.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-28105531

Flow diagram -

Equipment used - We used the sound recording studio to remove all the possible sound noise so we could get the best sound quality possible, we used a microphone to record our voices and then we edited it all on adobe audition which requires a computer, mouse, keyboard and speakers. We also used a Dictaphone to record our jingle which we included in the radio. We also used a camera to take pictures of our work to show us creating the radio. We had it on a tripod to keep the camera from shaking to get the best possible camera shot.
