I interviewed 10 people about their views on radio, whether they listen to it, what stations they listen to, what time of day do they listen, where do they listen, how do they listen.
My findings tell us the majority of people we asked like to listen to the radio, and if we look further into our results we have found out that the younger generation prefer to listen to the radio. General radio is a lot more popular and is chosen rather than local radio news bulletins as radio provides better entertainment for their viewers. Also many mentions radio as an alternative to other entertainment that isn't as distracting such as social media and TV.
There isn't a large difference in gender differences, both men and women listen to the radio according to my results. Also the older generation prefer to listen to different radio stations that provide older music from the 70s to the 90s for example lincs FM and Viking FM. the most common radio station listened to was Capital FM, this is purely because I interviewed people similar to my age and this is the radio station targeted towards young adults due to the chart music being constantly played.
Also the older generation listen to the radio either in the car radio or the radio at home whereas the younger generation use other forms of technology to listen to the radio for example on their computer and phone.
